Code 36: Air Suction Solenoid Valve
NOTE:
Refer to illustration for ECU connector and terminal identification. See Figure
.
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ECU connector E31, terminal No. 3 (backprobe) and ground. If about 10 volts are present, repair ECU harness connector or replace ECU. If about 10 volts are not present, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect air suction solenoid valve connector. Measure resistance between air suction solenoid valve connector terminals. Resistance should be 36 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not to specification, replace air suction solenoid valve. If resistance is to specification, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between air suction solenoid valve connector terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Red wire) and ground. If about 10 volts are present, repair or replace harness connector between ECU and air suction solenoid valve. If about 10 volts are not present, repair or replace power supply circuit.
