Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Or Switch

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR RESISTANCE

(1) Justy is not equipped with TP sensor.
(2) Unplug TP sensor connector. At component side of connector, connect ohmmeter between the indicated terminals.

(1) Backprobe between specified terminal of 22-pin ECM connector and ground.
THROTTLE SWITCH (IDLE SWITCH) CONTINUITY

Application (1) Terminals
Justy (2) Blue/White Wire & Black/Red Wire
Legacy Brown Wire & Black Wire
Loyale Light Green Wire & Black Wire
(1) Unplug TP sensor connector. Check for continuity between specified terminals of connector. There should be continuity with throttle closed, and no continuity with throttle open.
(2) In addition to idle switch function, throttle switch also incorporates wide open throttle switch function. To test wide open throttle switch function, check continuity between Green/Red wire and Black/Red wire terminals of throttle switch connector. There should be continuity with throttle fully open (at least 50 degrees), and no continuity with throttle closed.
