Steering Column: Inspection

Ensure "U" joint has no play. Flex "U" joint and check for binding. Replace "U" joint if any binding is present. Check plastic washer for damage and serration for wear. Check steering shaft dimensions. See STEERING SHAFT SPECIFICATIONS table. Replace steering shaft if it is not within specifications. Check bearings for damage. Replace any worn bearings.
