Throttle Position (TP) Sensor & Switch

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR RESISTANCE

Application (1) TP Connector Terminals Ohms
Total Resistance Black Wire & Red Wire 12,000
Variable Resistance
Throttle Closed Black Wire & White Wire 10,000-12,000
Throttle Open Black Wire & White Wire 3000-5000
(1) Unplug TP sensor connector. At component side of connector,connect ohmmeter between the indicated terminals.
THROTTLE SWITCH (IDLE SWITCH) CONTINUITY

Application (1) Terminals
Legacy Brown Wire & Black Wire
(1) Unplug TP sensor connector. Check for continuity between specified terminals of connector. There should be continuity with throttle closed, and no continuity with throttle open.
