Air Bag System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position. AIR BAG warning light in instrument cluster should glow and go out after approximately 8 seconds. If AIR BAG warning light stays illuminated for more than 8 seconds with ignition switch in ON position, SRS is malfunctioning and needs repair.
