DTC P0106 (P_R) - Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem
NOTE:
Refer to illustration for connector and terminal identification. See Figure
-Figure
.
- Turn ignition to OFF. After Connecting SSM or OBD-II scan tool, turn ignition to ON. Turn SSM or OBD-II scan tool to ON. Start Engine. Select SSM function mode F24 to show voltage signal value sent from pressure sensor. Select function mode F23 to show voltage signal value sent from pressure sensor. If voltage is more than 3.24 volts in function mode F24, go to next step. If voltage is less than 1.6 volts in function mode F23, go to step 3). If voltage is more than 4.7 volts in function mode F23, replace pressure sensor. If voltage is less than 4.7 volts, repair poor contact in pressure sensor connector, pressure sources switching solenoid valve connector, and ECM connector.
- Check all hoses from pressure sources from switching solenoid valve to intake manifold and pressure sensor to pressure sources for switching solenoid valve for disconnection, holes or clogging. Repair hoses as needed. If okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition to OFF. Connect SSM or OBD-II scan tool. Turn ignition to ON. If operating sounds (clicking) are heard at pressure sources solenoid valve (ON/OFF each 1.5 sec.), replace pressure sensor. If clicking is not heard, replace pressure sources switching solenoid valve.
