Throttle Position (TP) Sensor
NOTE:
All testing procedures are performed with engine at normal operating temperature. For further TP sensor diagnosis, see the TESTS W/CODES
article.
- Turn ignition on. With throttle fully closed, check and record voltage to ground at the specified ECM terminals. Refer to the TP SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS table.
- If necessary, loosen retaining screws and rotate TP sensor until correct voltages are obtained. Replace TP sensor if voltage cannot be adjusted to specification.
