DTC P0600: Serial Communication Link Malfunction

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM connector. Check resistance of wiring between ECM connector terminal No. 93 and Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal No. 10. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If resistance is more than one ohm, repair open in wiring between ECM and DLC connector. If resistance is one ohm or less, go to next step.
  2. Check resistance between ECM connector terminal No. 93 and chassis ground. If resistance is 10 ohms or less, repair short in wiring between ECM and DLC connectors. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair terminal contact in ECM and DLC connectors.
