Clutch is single, dry-disc type using a diaphragm spring pressure plate. Release bearing is a self-aligning design. On models with 2.2L engine, system is controlled by a cable running from pedal assembly to clutch release lever. On models with 2.5L engine, system is controlled by hydraulic master and slave cylinders.
