Generators & Regulators: Description

Generator for models equipped with automatic transmission is manufactured by Hitachi. Generator for models equipped with manual transmission is manufactured by Mitsubishi. Generator is a conventional rotating field, 3-phase, self-rectifying type. Four positive and 4 negative diodes are used to rectify current. System is equipped with Integrated Circuit (IC) voltage regulator. When charge indicator light voltage and generator output voltage are about equal, charge indicator light goes out.
