SERVICE INFORMATION

When retrieving DTC(s) from ECM or PCM memory, it is critical to create a screen capture of the Freeze Frame Data (FFD) and save it in the GDS before erasing any DTC(s) from memory, or proceeding to the next step. FFD collected by technicians is necessary to gain further understanding of the conditions under which the DTC(s) was triggered. Without this vital information, it may be difficult for Techline agents to offer repair assistance in properly addressing the underlying cause(s) for the DTC(s). When opening a Techline web case for any DTC related concern, make sure to attach the Freeze Frame Data.

NOTE: FFD is not available on all DTC(s). However, when available, attach as instructed above.
