Valve Body: Reassembly

  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Ensure proper locations of steel balls, accumulators and springs, filters and valve body bolts. Install accumulator support plates and upper separator plate to middle valve body. Ensure support plate hole is aligned with hole in separator plate. Tighten support plate bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install lower separator plate onto lower valve body and temporarily assemble valve body assemblies. Ensure valve body steel balls and filters are not displaced when assembling. Tighten all locating bolts and all upper-to-lower valve body bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install duty and shift solenoids, and ATF temperature sensor. See Figure . Install oil filter and oil filter retaining bolts to lower valve body. See Figure . Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
