Abs Bleeding Procedure

  1. Attach one end of tubing to right front brake caliper bleeder screw and place other end into container. Have assistant depress and hold pressure on brake pedal. Open bleeder screw 1-2 seconds and then close bleeder screw. Release pressure on brake pedal and wait 3-4 seconds. Repeat procedure at left rear, left front and right rear until air has been bled from system.
  2. Perform sequence control. See SEQUENCE CONTROL  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  3. Start engine. Depress brake pedal using about 66 lbs. (30 kg) force and hold it for about 20 seconds. Release pedal and apply once again. If pedal feels spongy or soft, air may be in system. Repeat bleeding procedure. Install wheels. Test drive vehicle for 1-2 miles, ensuring proper operation of brakes.
