ENGINE CONTROLS - Sensor Operating Range Charts: Introduction: Notes

Sensor operating range information can help determine if a sensor is out of calibration. An out-of-calibration sensor may not set a DTC, but it may cause driveability problems.

NOTE: Unless stated otherwise in test procedure, perform all voltage tests using a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance.
ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTAGE (1)

Application Volts
Forester, Impreza 2.5L & Legacy A/T
ECM Connector B136 Terminal No. 29 & Ground (2)
Engine On 3.9-4.1
At Idle 2.0-2.3
(1) For further testing, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
(2) Connect DVOM between indicated ECM terminal and ground.
CAMSHAFT & CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE

Application (1) Ohms
All Models 1000-4000
(1) Check resistance between sensor terminals. For further testing, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
