Select Lever: Inspection
- Inspect removed parts by comparing with new ones for deformation, damage and wear. Correct or replace if defective.
- Confirm the following parts for operating condition before assembly.
- Sliding condition of the button in the grip: it should move smoothly.
- Insertion of the grip on the select lever: when pushing the grip on the select lever by hand, screw holes should be aligned.
- Operation of select lever and rod: they should move smoothly.
- Check connection and disconnection while turning the "P" position switch to ON-OFF.
- Connect lead harness to connector terminal of shift-lock solenoid, and apply battery power to check whether the solenoid operates.
