Check Vehicle Speed Sensor 1
- 9C1: CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR 1.
- Lift-up or raise the vehicle and support with safety stand.CAUTION: On AWD models, raise all wheels off ground.
- Read data of vehicle speed #1 using Subaru Select Monitor.
- Compare speedometer with Subaru Select Monitor indications.
- Vehicle speed is indicated in "MPH" or "km/h".
NOTE: The speed difference between front and rear wheels may light the ABS warning light, but this indicates no malfunction. When AT control diagnosis is finished, perform the ABS memory clearance procedure of on-board diagnostics system. See CLEARING MEMORY-ABS .CHECK: Does the speedometer indication increase as the Subaru Select Monitor data increases?
- YES: Go to step vehicle speed sensor 2, see CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR 2 .
- NO: Check vehicle speed sensor 1 circuit, see DTC 93: VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR 1 (REAR) .
- Lift-up or raise the vehicle and support with safety stand.
