M/T Gear Shift Lever: Removal

Set the vehicle on the lift.
Remove the gear shift knob.
Disconnect the ground terminal from battery.
Remove the console box. See CONSOLE BOX .
Remove the boot plate from body.

Lift-up the vehicle.
Remove the rear exhaust pipe and muffler.
Remove the heat shield cover. (If equipped)
Remove the stay from transmission bracket.

Remove the rod from joint.

Remove the cushion rubber from body.

Remove the joint and then extract the spring pin.

Lower the vehicle.
Remove the gear shift lever.
