Strut Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove wheel.
  2. Remove bolts securing brake hose from strut. See Fig 1.
  3. Scribe an alignment mark on the camber adjusting bolt which secures strut to housing.
  4. Remove bolt securing ABS sensor harness. See Fig 2.
    CAUTION: While holding head of adjusting bolt, loosen self-locking nut.
  5. Remove 2 bolts securing housing to strut.
  6. Remove the 3 nuts securing strut mount to body. See Fig 3.
