Fuel Tank: Removal

WARNING:

Place "NO FIRE" signs near the working area.
Be careful not to spill fuel on the floor.

Set vehicle on the lift.
Release fuel pressure. Refer to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE .
Drain fuel from fuel tank. Refer to DRAINING OF FUEL .
Remove rear seat.
Disconnect connector of fuel tank cord to rear harness.

Push grommet which holds fuel tank cord on floor panel into under the body.

Remove rear crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER .
Move clamp, and disconnect evaporation hose from canister.

Disconnect connector from pressure control solenoid valve.
Disconnect connector from drain valve.

Disconnect hoses from roll over valve.

Loosen clamp and disconnect fuel filler hose and air vent hose from fuel filler pipe and air vent pipe.

Move clips, and disconnect quick connector. Refer to Fuel Delivery, Return and Evaporation Lines .
Disconnect fuel hoses.

Support fuel tank with transmission jack, remove bolts from bands and dismount fuel tank from the vehicle.
WARNING: A helper is required to perform this work.
