DTC P0483: Cooling Fan Function Problem

NOTE: To prevent abnormal cooling operation, ensure vehicle has not been placed close to a wall or another vehicle with engine idling. The OBD system may detect this as a malfunction.

Perform test procedure. See TESTING PROCEDURE . If DTC P0483 is only DTC set, check cooling system and components. If any other DTCs are present, diagnose and repair those codes. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . Clear memory. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . On Forester, Legacy and Outback models, validate repair by performing appropriate drive cycle. See DRIVE CYCLES . On Impreza and Outback Sport, perform verification procedure. See VERIFICATION PROCEDURE .
