Diagnostic Procedure

Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If any DTCs other than P0604 exist, repair those DTCs first. Do not diagnose DTC P0604. If only DTC P0604 exists, check for poor contact at ECM harness connectors. Repair as necessary. If contact at ECM harness connectors is okay, replace ECM. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
