Intake Manifold: Removal
- Release the fuel pressure. < Ref. to , RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel. >
- Open the fuel filler flap lid, and remove the fuel filler cap.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the air cleaner case and air intake chamber. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Cleaner Case.> < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Intake Chamber. >
- Remove the generator. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Generators. >
- Disconnect the spark plug cords from spark plugs by pulling the plug cap. (Do not pull the cord.)
- Disconnect the engine coolant hoses (A) from throttle body.
- Disconnect the brake booster hose (A).
- Disconnect the PCV hoses (A) from intake manifold.
- Disconnect the engine harness connectors (B) from bulkhead harness connectors.
- Disconnect the connectors from engine coolant temperature sensor.
- Disconnect the knock sensor connector.
- Disconnect the connector from crankshaft position sensor.
- Disconnect the connector from power steering pump switch (A).
- Disconnect the connector from oil pressure switch (B).
- Disconnect the connector from camshaft position sensor.
- Remove the EGR pipe from intake manifold.
- Disconnect the fuel hoses from fuel pipes.
- Push the ST to separate the connectors of fuel delivery line and return line.
ST 42099AE000 CONNECTOR REMOVER
- Remove the clip to disconnect evaporation hoses from pipe.
WARNING:- Be careful not to spill fuel.
- Catch the fuel from hoses using a container or cloth.
- Push the ST to separate the connectors of fuel delivery line and return line.
- Remove the bolts which secure intake manifold to cylinder head.
- Remove the intake manifold.
