5MT Model

Set the vehicle on a lift.
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Remove the gear shift knob.
Remove the console box. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Console Box .>
Remove the front cover assembly.
Remove the clamp.

Remove the bushing and insulator assembly.

Remove the harness clamp from the plate assembly.

Remove the plate assembly from the vehicle body.

Lift the vehicle.
Remove the rear exhaust pipe and muffler.
- SOHC and DOHC 2.0 L model <Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Exhaust Pipe .> <Ref. to REMOVAL , Muffler .>
- DOHC turbo model <Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Exhaust Pipe .> <Ref. to REMOVAL , Joint Pipe .>
Remove the heat shield cover.

Remove the stay from transmission bracket.

Remove the rod from joint.

Remove the cushion rubber from the vehicle body.

Extract the spring pin and remove the joint.

Lower the vehicle.
Remove the gear shift lever.
