Fuel Sub Level Sensor: Removal
WARNING:
Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to spill fuel.
- Prior to start work, be sure to set the fuel volume to three-forth full of the fuel tank. If the fuel is more than three-forth full of the fuel tank, be careful because the fuel may spill out.
- Set the vehicle on a lift.
- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Drain fuel. <Ref. to DRAINING FUEL , PROCEDURE, Fuel .>
- Remove the rear seat.
- Remove the service hole cover.
- Remove bolt (A).
- Push the grommet (B) down and remove the service hole cover.
- Disconnect the connector from the fuel sub level sensor.
- Disconnect the quick connector, then disconnect the fuel delivery hose and jet pump hose. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Fuel Delivery and Evaporation Lines .>
- Remove the nuts and bolts which install fuel sub level sensor on fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel sub level sensor.
