Fuel Sub Level Sensor: Removal
WARNING:
Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to spill fuel.
- When the fuel gauge pointer is at two third or more, the fuel may spill out. Be sure to drain the fuel before the operation.
- Release the fuel pressure. Refer to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel .
- Drain fuel from fuel tank. Refer to DRAINING FUEL (WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR) , PROCEDURE, Fuel .
- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
- Remove the rear seat.
- Remove the service hole cover.
- Disconnect the connector from the fuel sub level sensor.
- Disconnect the quick connector, then disconnect the fuel delivery tube and jet pump tube. Refer to REMOVAL , Fuel Delivery and Evaporation Lines .
- Remove the nuts and bolts which install fuel sub level sensor on fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel sub level sensor.
