Steering Wheel: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
  2. Set the tire to the straight-ahead position.
  3. Remove the airbag module. Refer to REMOVAL , Driver's Airbag Module.
    WARNING: Always refer to "CAUTION " before performing service on the airbag modules.
  4. Place alignment marks on the steering wheel and steering shaft.

  5. Remove the steering wheel nut, and then draw out the steering wheel from shaft using steering puller.
