Fuel Sub Level Sensor: Removal
WARNING:
Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to spill fuel.
- If the fuel gauge indicates that two thirds or more of the fuel is remaining, be sure to drain fuel before starting work to avoid the fuel to spill.
- Release the fuel pressure. Refer to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel.
- Drain fuel. Refer to DRAINING FUEL (WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR) , PROCEDURE, Fuel.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the rear seat.
- Remove the service hole cover.
- Remove bolt (A).
- Push the grommet (B) down and remove the service hole cover.
- Disconnect the connector from the fuel sub level sensor.
- Disconnect the quick connector on the fuel delivery hose and jet pump hose. Refer to REMOVAL , Fuel Delivery and Evaporation Lines.
- Remove the nuts and bolts which install fuel sub level sensor on fuel tank.
- Remove the fuel sub level sensor.
