Fuel Filler Pipe: Removal

WARNING: Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.

CAUTION: Be careful not to spill fuel.

Set the vehicle on a lift.
Release the fuel pressure. Ref. to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel.
Drain fuel. Ref. to DRAINING FUEL (WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR) , PROCEDURE, Fuel.
Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
Open the fuel filler lid, and remove the fuel filler cap.
Remove the bolt which secures the gasket.

Remove the rear wheel RH.
Lift up the vehicle.
Remove the mud guard. Ref. to REMOVAL , Mud Guard.
Remove the rear suspension assembly. Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Sub Frame.
Disconnect the fuel filler hose.

Remove the bolts which hold fuel filler pipe bracket on the body.

Remove the fuel filler pipe to the underside of the vehicle.
