Intake Manifold: Removal

Remove the collector cover.
Release the fuel pressure. Ref. to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel.
Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
Open the fuel filler lid, and remove the fuel filler cap.
Remove the air cleaner case and air intake chamber. Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Cleaner Case. Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Intake Chamber.
Remove the generator. Ref. to REMOVAL , Generator.
Disconnect the connector (A) from the throttle body.
Disconnect the engine harness connector (B).

Disconnect the engine coolant hoses from the throttle body.

Disconnect the PCV hose.

Disconnect the brake booster hose.

Disconnect the fuel hoses from the fuel pipe.
1. Disconnect the connector of fuel pipe by pushing the ST in the direction of arrow.
  ST 42099AE000 QUICK CONNECTOR RELEASE
2. Remove the clip, and disconnect the evaporation hose from the pipe.
  CAUTION:
  - Be careful not to spill fuel.
  - Catch the fuel from hoses using a container or cloth.

Remove the fuel pipe protector LH.

Remove the engine harness from the fuel injector pipe LH.
Disconnect the connectors of the oil temperature sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor, intake oil flow control solenoid valve LH.

Remove the bolts which hold fuel injector pipe LH to cylinder head.

Disconnect the connector of intake oil flow control solenoid valve RH.

Remove the fuel pipe protector RH.

Remove the engine harness from the fuel injector pipe RH.
Remove the bolts which hold the fuel injector pipe RH to the cylinder head.

Remove the bolts which hold the intake manifold to the cylinder head.

Remove the EGR pipe fixing bolt.

Remove the intake manifold.
