Fuel Injector: Removal

  1. Release the fuel pressure. < Ref. to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE. >
  2. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

  3. Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap.
  4. Remove the air intake boot. (RH side only) < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Intake Boot. >
  5. Disconnect the connector (A) from the mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor, and remove the clip (B) which holds the mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor harness. (RH side only)
  6. Remove the suction hose (C) from the air cleaner case (rear). (RH side only)

  7. Remove the air cleaner case (rear). (RH side only)

  8. Remove the intake manifold protector.
    • LH side

  9. Disconnect the connectors (A) from fuel injector.
  10. Remove the bolts which hold fuel pipe onto the cam carrier.

  11. Remove the fuel injector.
