SERVICE INFORMATION

To check fuel pressure on the FB series engines (2011MY - Forester and 2012MY - Impreza NA), Special Tool 18471AA000 "Fuel Pipe Adapter" and a Subaru genuine part 42075AG690 "Hose, Fuel" are required. The fuel pipe adapter is part of the Subaru Essential Tool list. The Fuel Pressure Test Kit J-49863 which was shipped to the dealers from SPX/Kent Moore works well on the EJ and EZ series engines, but to use it on the FB series engines, the quick connect ends will not click in around the barb due to the increased length of the fuel rail connector end. The distance for the end of the fuel rail to the barb is 2.5mm longer on the FB series engines.

To connect the Fuel Pressure Test Kit J-49863 to the FB engine you will need items shown above. Install both items per the Subaru Service Manual illustration.
