Inhibitor Switch: Installation

Install the inhibitor switch to the transmission case.

Install the shifter arm and fix with the spring pin.
NOTE: Use new spring pin.

Move the shifter arm to the neutral position.
Using the ST, tighten the two bolts holding the inhibitor switch.
Tightening torque:

5 N.m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.7 ft-lb)

Connect the inhibitor switch connector to the inhibitor switch.

Install the select cable to the shifter arm.
Install the plate assembly to the transmission case.
Tightening torque:

T: 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

Install the washer and snap pin to the shifter arm.

Install the center exhaust pipe, (non-turbo model) < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Center Exhaust Pipe. >
Install the center exhaust pipe, (turbo model) < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Center Exhaust Pipe. >
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the battery ground terminal.
Check the inhibitor switch. < Ref. to INSPECTION , Inhibitor Switch. >
