When replacing a CVT assembly, it is important to recheck the fluid level after the initial start-up. The transmission and converter are shipped empty. After you fill the unit during your installation procedure, keep in mind the converter has to fill up after startup. Always make sure to top-off the CVT and the front differential fluid before you road test the car. See the 2/11 issue of TIPS for important information on servicing the front differential fluid.
