Intermediate Case: Removal
- Remove the transmission assembly from vehicle body. Refer to

- Remove the extension case. Refer to

- Remove the rear drive shaft. Refer to
, REMOVAL , Rear Drive Shaft.
- Remove the transfer clutch assembly. Refer to
, REMOVAL , Transfer Clutch.
- Remove the transfer reduction driven gear assembly. Refer to
, REMOVAL , Transfer Reduction Driven Gear.
- Remove the intermediate case.
NOTE:
- The total number of intermediate case mounting bolts is 14.
- Inside the transmission is a single bolt (arrowed).
