Parking Pawl: Installation

Set the range select lever to the "N" range.
Install the parking pawl shaft, return spring and parking pawl.
NOTE: Make sure that the return spring end sticks out of parking pawl as shown in the figure (a). Make sure that the other end of return spring is in contact with the rib of intermediate case as shown in the figure (b).

Install the extension case. Refer to , INSTALLATION , Extension Case.
Install the transmission assembly to the vehicle. Refer to , INSTALLATION , Automatic Transmission Assembly.
