Intermediate Case: Removal

Remove the transmission assembly from vehicle body. Refer to , REMOVAL , Automatic Transmission Assembly.
Remove the extension case. Refer to , REMOVAL , Extension Case.
Remove the rear drive shaft. Refer to , REMOVAL , Rear Drive Shaft.
Remove the transfer clutch assembly. Refer to , REMOVAL , Transfer Clutch.
Remove the transfer reduction driven gear assembly. Refer to , REMOVAL , Transfer Reduction Driven Gear.
Remove the intermediate case.
NOTE:
- The total number of intermediate case mounting bolts is 14.
- Inside the transmission is a single bolt (arrowed).

Remove the CVTF filter.

Remove the O-ring from the transmission case.
