ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure
NOTE:
If installation position of tire pressure sensor is changed (i.e., when tires are rotated), tire pressure sensor or TPM control module is replaced, or when wheels are changed (i.e., when snow tires are installed), the tire pressure sensor IDs must be registered.
NOTE:
If the tires were rotated, the performance and function of TPMS is not affected. However, tire position is not displayed in the Subaru Select Monitor correctly.
NOTE:
If the ignition switch is turned off or the registration procedure is not performed within 5 minutes, registration mode is cancelled.
NOTE:
If registration procedure is not successful after 2 attempts, replacement of TPM control module may be necessarily.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Set the tire pressure of all wheels to pressure specified on the tire and loading information label.
- Select "Reset TPM System" on the TPMS3.
- Hold the TPMS3 against the side wall of the tire, within 3 inches of the valve stem. Press TEST button on the TPMS3 and read each of the sensor IDs in the following order: left front, right front, left rear, and then right rear.
- Connect the TPMS3 OBDII module to the Data Link Connector (DLC) located under the driver's side of the instrument panel.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Do not start engine.
- When screen prompts to "CONNECT OBDII MODULE", press "Y" button on the TPMS3 to transmit sensor IDs.
- Use TPMS3 to trigger all 4 sensors until the TPMS warning indicator on instrument panel is OFF.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect the TPMS3 from DLC.
- After ID registration is completed, tire pressure warning light will turn on for 2 seconds to indicate registration procedure is completed.
- After all IDs are confirmed, drive vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) for 10 minutes.
