AT Main Case: Removal

Remove the transmission assembly from vehicle body. Refer to REMOVAL , Automatic Transmission Assembly.
Pull out the torque converter assembly. Refer to REMOVAL , Torque Converter Assembly.
Remove the transmission harness connector from stay.
Remove the ATF inlet and outlet pipes. Refer to REMOVAL , ATF Cooler Pipe and Hose.
Remove the extension case. Refer to REMOVAL , Extension Case.
Remove the center differential carrier. Refer to REMOVAL , Center Differential Carrier.
Remove the reduction driven gear. Refer to REMOVAL , Reduction Driven Gear.
Separate the converter case from the transmission case. Refer to REMOVAL , Converter Case.
Remove the control valve body. Refer to REMOVAL , Control Valve Body.
Remove the oil pump cover. Refer to REMOVAL , Oil Pump Cover.
NOTE: The input clutch pack assembly and front sun gear assembly are also removed together.

Remove the needle bearing of the middle carrier assembly.

Remove the middle carrier assembly.

Remove the rear carrier assembly.

Remove the middle & rear sun gear assembly.

Remove the thrust needle bearing of high & low reverse clutch.

Remove the high & low reverse clutch assembly.

Remove the direct clutch assembly.

Remove the snap ring of reverse brake.

Remove the retaining plate.
Remove the leaf spring.

Take out the drive plate, driven plate and dish plate.
Remove the snap ring of the reverse brake spring retainer.

ST2 18765AA000 COMPRESSOR SUPPORT

ST3 18763AA000 COMPRESSOR SHAFT

Remove the spring retainer.

Apply compressed air.
