Throttle body assembly (FA20): Removal

  1. Disconnection of battery ground terminal (Refer to WORKING PRECAUTIONS AND NOTES )
  2. Draining of coolant (SUBARU Super Coolant) (Refer to COOLANT (FA20) )
  3. Removal of air cleaner case sub-assembly (Refer to V-BELT (FA20) )
  4. Removal of throttle body assembly (with motor)
    1. Disconnect the connector for the throttle body assembly (with motor).

    2. Slide 2 clamps, and disconnect the water bypass hose No. 2 and water bypass hose No. 3 from the throttle body assembly (with motor).

    3. Remove 4 bolts, and remove the throttle body assembly (with motor) from the intake manifold.
    4. Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
