Inspection steps
- MIL illumination check
- Check the illumination status of MIL.RESULT
MIL Inspection conditions Go to Always lit. IG ON →After engine start A Always unlit. IG ON →After engine start B ON →OFF IG ON →After engine start C B: Go to Step 3.
C: Check for problems that do not normally occur (Refer to PROCEDURES FOR MALFUNCTION PHENOMENON SIMULATION )
A: Go to Next Step
- Check the illumination status of MIL.
- Read DTC
- Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Follow the SSM3 on-screen instructions to check the DTC. (Refer to CHECKING/CLEARING DTC
)RESULT
Result Go to No DTC is output A DTC is output. B B: To corresponding DTC chart (refer to DTC TABLE )
A: Go to meter & gauge system (Refer to HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT )
- Engine starting inspection
- Check that the engine starts.
Criteria: The engine starts.
NG: Go to VC power supply circuit inspection (Refer to VC POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT )
OK: Replace combination meter assembly (Refer to COMBINATION METER assembly )
- Check that the engine starts.
