Front Oxygen (A/F) Sensor: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

  2. Remove the radiator sub fan. < Refer to REMOVAL , Radiator Sub Fan and Fan Motor.>
  3. Lift up the vehicle.
  4. Remove the under cover RH. < Refer to REMOVAL , Front Under Cover.>
  5. Disconnect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector, and remove the clip holding the front oxygen (A/F) sensor harness.

  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Apply spray-type lubricant to the threaded portion of front oxygen (A/F) sensor, and leave it for one minute or more.
  8. Remove the front oxygen (A/F) sensor.
    CAUTION: When removing the front oxygen (A/F) sensor, wait until exhaust pipe cools, otherwise it will damage the exhaust pipe.
