Reverse Brake Assembly: Removal

CAUTION: The specifications of following parts vary depending on transmission serial No. When replacing the following parts, be sure to check the serial number before replacing.
  • Reverse brake housing and bolt

  1. Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the air breather hose. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the control valve body. Refer to REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the transmission harness. Refer to REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the turbine speed sensor. Refer to REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the secondary speed sensor. Refer to REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the primary speed sensor. Refer to REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the inhibitor switch. Refer to REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the extension case. Refer to REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the transfer clutch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  11. Remove the transfer driven gear assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  12. Remove the parking pawl. Refer to REMOVAL .
  13. Remove the reduction driven gear assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  14. Remove the oil pan and oil strainer. Refer to REMOVAL .
  15. Remove the transmission control device. Refer to REMOVAL .
  16. Remove the transmission case. Refer to REMOVAL .
  17. Remove the reduction drive gear. Refer to REMOVAL .
  18. Remove the primary pulley, secondary pulley and variator chain. Refer to REMOVAL .
  19. Remove the manual valve assembly.

  20. Remove the oil guide and lubrication pipe.

  21. Remove the O-ring from lubrication pipe.

  22. Remove the reverse brake assembly.

  23. Remove the O-ring.
