AT Main Case: Removal

Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
Pull out the torque converter assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the transmission harness connector from stay.
Remove the ATF cooler inlet pipe and outlet pipe. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the extension case. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the center differential carrier. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the reduction driven gear. Refer to REMOVAL .
Separate the converter case from the transmission case. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the control valve body. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the oil pump cover. Refer to REMOVAL .
NOTE: The input clutch pack assembly and front sun gear assembly are also removed together.

Remove the needle bearing of the middle carrier assembly.

Remove the middle carrier assembly.

Remove the rear carrier assembly.

Remove the middle & rear sun gear assembly.

Remove the thrust needle bearing of high & low reverse clutch.

Remove the high & low reverse clutch assembly.

Remove the direct clutch assembly.

Remove the snap ring of reverse brake.

Remove the retaining plate.
Remove the leaf spring.

Take out the drive plate, driven plate and dish plate.
Remove the snap ring of the reverse brake spring retainer.

Remove the spring retainer.
