Fuel Filler Pipe: Removal
WARNING:
Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to spill fuel.
- Release the fuel pressure. <Ref. to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel.>
- Drain fuel. <Ref. to DRAINING FUEL (WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR) , PROCEDURE, Fuel.>
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. <Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents.>
- Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap.
- Turn the fuel filler pipe protector in the direction of the arrow to unlock and remove it.
- Remove the rear sub frame assembly. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Sub Frame.>
- Remove the rear mud guard RH. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Mud Guard.>
- Disconnect the fuel filler hoses from the fuel filler pipe.
- Disconnect the evaporation hose (A) from fuel filler pipe and remove the bolts and nuts securing the fuel filler pipe to the vehicle body.
- Remove the fuel filler pipe from the underside of the vehicle.
