Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly (Fa20): Removal

  1. Disconnection of the battery ground terminal (Refer to WORKING PRECAUTIONS AND NOTES )
  2. Removal of camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (bank 1 intake side)
    1. Disconnect the connector for camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
    2. Remove 2 bolts, and remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    4. Remove the back-up ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
  3. Removal of camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (bank 1 exhaust side)
    1. Disconnect the connector for camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
    2. Remove 2 bolts, and remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    4. Remove the back-up ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
  4. Removal of air cleaner case sub-assembly (Refer to V-BELT (FA20) )
  5. Removal of camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (bank 2 intake side)
    1. Disconnect the connector for camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
    2. Remove 2 bolts, and remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    4. Remove the back-up ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
  6. Removal of camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (bank 2 exhaust side)
    1. Disconnect the connector for camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
    2. Remove 2 bolts, and remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    4. Remove the back-up ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
