On-Vehicle Inspection
- Inspection of air pressure sensor assembly
- Connect the SSM3 to the DLC.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON with engine stopped.
- Using SSM3, select the following menu items: [Power train/Engine/Data monitor/Intake manifold pressure]
- Read the data monitor.
Criteria: Almost equal to atmospheric pressure
NOTE:- Standard atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa {758 mmHg, 29.8 inHg, 14.6 psig}.
- Atmospheric pressure decreases by 1 kPa {8 mmHg, 0.3 inHg, 0.1 psig} as the altitude increases by 100 m {328 ft}.
- Atmospheric pressure varies according to the weather.
