Fuel Filler Pipe: Removal
WARNING:
Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to spill fuel.
- Release the fuel pressure. < Ref. to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, Fuel. >
- Drain fuel. < Ref. to DRAINING FUEL (WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR) , PROCEDURE, Fuel. >
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. < Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Note. >
- Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap.
- Turn the fuel filler pipe protector in the direction of the arrow to unlock and remove it.
- Remove the rear sub frame assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Sub Frame. >
- Remove the rear mud guard RH. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Mud Guard. >
- Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A) and evaporation hose (B) from the fuel filler pipe assembly.
- Remove the bolts and nuts which secure the fuel filler pipe assembly to the vehicle.
- Remove the fuel filler pipe assembly from the underside of the vehicle.
