Security Control Module: Installation

CAUTION:
  • When the control module related to immobilizer has been replaced, be sure to perform the registration of immobilizer system. For detailed operation procedure, refer to "Type B" described in "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER"  .
  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". <Ref. to  CAUTION  , General Description.> 
  • Do not allow harness and connectors to interfere or get tangled up with other parts  .
  • If the steering wheel and steering angle sensor (steering roll connector) are removed, perform "VSC(VDC) Centering Mode" of the VDC. <Ref. to  VDC SENSOR MIDPOINT SETTING MODE  , ADJUSTMENT, VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM & H/U).> 
  1. Install the security control module.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb) 

  2. Install the heater and cooling unit assembly. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Heater and Cooling Unit.>
  3. Install the instrument panel assembly. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Instrument Panel Assembly.>
  4. Install the knee airbag module. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Knee Airbag Module.>
  5. Install the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Instrument Panel Lower Cover.>
  6. Install the steering wheel. <Ref. to INSTALLATION , Steering Wheel.>
  7. Connect the battery ground terminal. <Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Note.>
