Operating Cylinder: Removal

CAUTION: Brake fluid spilled on the vehicle body will harm the paint surface; therefore, wash it off with water and wipe clean quickly if spilled.
  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery. <Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Note.>
    NOTE: For models other than STI model, disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor.
  2. Remove the collector cover. (Except for STI model) <Ref. to REMOVAL , Collector Cover.>
  3. Remove the intercooler. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Intercooler.> <Ref. to REMOVAL , Intercooler.>
  4. Remove the starter. (STI model) <Ref. to REMOVAL , Starter.>
  5. Disconnect the clutch hose.
    CAUTION:
    • Cover the hose joint to prevent the brake fluid from flowing out. 
    • Do not loosen or remove the cap bolts. 
    • STI model

  6. Remove the operating cylinder.
