Fuel Filler Pipe: Removal
WARNING:
Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to spill fuel.
- Release the fuel pressure. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>Fuel>PROCEDURE>RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE
- Drain fuel. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>Fuel>PROCEDURE>DRAINING FUEL (WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR)
- Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap.
- Turn the fuel filler pipe protector in the direction of the arrow to unlock and remove it.
- Remove the rear sub frame assembly. Ref. to REAR SUSPENSION>Rear Sub Frame>REMOVAL
- Remove the rear mud guard RH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Mud Guard>REMOVAL
- Disconnect the fuel filler hoses from the fuel filler pipe.
- Disconnect the evaporation hose (A) from fuel filler pipe and remove the bolts and nuts securing the fuel filler pipe to the vehicle body.
- Remove the fuel filler pipe from the underside of the vehicle.
